Here you are surrounded by the vast expanse of rolling moorland, farmland and valleys of ancient woodland, laced with walking trails. This is the ideal choice for guests who love the great outdoors. Owl Barn dates back to 1767, and was once a modest farm outbuilding which was falling into disrepair over the centuries. It has now been lovingly transformed into a unique holiday destination, with the added surprise in one of the neighbouring barns, an on-site bar! After a busy day of exploring pop along to the specially built mini pub, with an arcade machine, darts and other pub games, as well as a wood burner making it atmospheric and cosy, with the main focal point being a big statement solid stone bar. This bespoke little pub is shared with the other properties on-site, so you can mingle in an evening and share your recommendations for your favourite nearby places to visit. Bring your own drinks and have a night to remember. There is also a barbecue in the field, where you can enjoy meals al fresco before watching the night sky light up with stars as you warm yourself around the open flames of the firepit.
When returning to your cottage you are welcomed by the grand and spacious living area with comfortable seating beside the wood burner and a large dining table where you can all gather for evening meals. This room is open plan with the kitchen, which is modern yet has a country twist, with a Belfast sink and sweeping white marble worktops. The layout of the rooms is unique and follows some of the original shapes of the building. On the ground floor you have a master kingsize bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower. Then a separate wing of the building has a double bedroom with its own mezzanine up paddle stairs with a bath complete with a hand held shower. Stairs lead up from the living area to the first floor kingsize bedroom with an en-suite shower. Each bedroom has so much character you are spoilt for choice choosing which one you will call your own. There is also an enclosed patio area, please be aware that the stones are uneven due to their age as these are the original farm building flag stones.
