Routh House is in a peaceful spot tucked off the popular Skinner Street in Whitby, ideal for couples or families who wish to explore the stunning Yorkshire coastline. This ground floor apartment is well-presented, benefiting from a lovely light decor and contemporary furnishings making this a homely space to holiday. The heart of the apartment is the cosy open-plan living room, complete with a large Smart TV and comfortable seating on the sofa and arm chairs, perfect for unwinding in an evening. Use the dining room to play some board games brought from home or break open the champagne and toast to a wonderful holiday over a home cooked meal. The fitted kitchen has been equipped with everything you could need for a week long stay, including a dishwasher and washing machine as an added benefit. Once the evening draws to a close, get some much needed rest in the beautifully dressed kingsize master bed room. There is an additional bunk bed room which will delight younger guests or can be used by adults. The shower room is modern and ideal for freshening up after a day at the beach. This well equipped apartment has everything needed for a welcoming stay by the sea.
Situated in the centre of the bustling town of Whitby, you are ideally located for accessing a number of popular attractions in the town centre, whilst also exploring the delightful Yorkshire coast. Home to some lovely Blue Flag beaches, the perfect spot for a picnic on the golden sands, or taking the opportunity to learn a new skill such as surfing. If you’re feeling more adventurous, see if you can conquer the 199 steps, which lead up to the historic 7th century Whitby abbey, said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’ and boasting a wealth of history. Visit the historic Captain Cook Memorial Museum, hosting a range of exhibitions detailing Cook’s voyages and life. You can even sail out of the harbour on a replica of one of his ships. The town is incredibly proud of its seafaring heritage and you can still see the fishermen bringing home their freshly caught bounty, in fact the fish and chips in Whitby are regarded as some of the best in the world. There is an abundance of restaurants and café’s to choose from, some of them award winning, you are sure to be spoilt for choice. Beach ¼ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 180 yards.
