Fleur Cottage

Tucked down a little peaceful yard just off Flowergate on the west side of town, this quaint little cottage is bursting with character. Stepping inside on the ground floor you have the open plan living area with exposed sandstone walls and a wood burner adding to the atmospheric feel. The kitchen area is charming, with everything to create your favourite home cooked meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table together. The sofa and armchairs nestle around the stove, with a wall mounted TV. Stairs lead you up to the first floor where you have the shower room, as well as two bedrooms, a cosy double with built in storage, as well as a twin bedroom which has wooden stairs leading you up to the mezzanine with a double bed beneath the beamed vaulted ceiling. Please note to access the double bedrooms as well as the shower room you do need to go into the twin bedroom. Here at Fleur Cottage you are only steps away from the bustling streets with many independent shops, cafés, restaurants and bars to discover. This property welcomes pets and Whitby is a paw-fect destination for dogs! There are lots of great walks nearby including the Cinder Track and the Cleveland Way. You also have a choice of beaches plus the surrounding National Park just waiting to be explored. Most pubs and cafés are pet friendly, you are even just round the corner from the dog bakery! The cobbled streets of Whitby are lined with bustling pubs and eateries, as well as many pretty local shops where you can pick up a souvenir or two. A selection of stores provide all the home essentials, so that you can gather all that you need to rustle up a good home-cooked meal in the comfort of your cottage. Here you are in the perfect location to sample some freshly caught sea food. Enjoy leisurely strolls along Whitby sea front and admire the outstanding seascapes. Climb the famous 199 steps up the East Cliff to see the impressive Gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey that inspired Bram Stoker’s 19th-century classic, Dracula. Stop by the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and learn of historical voyages in the area.
