The Whins

The Whins is a wonderfully spacious semi-detached house on the doorstep of Ganton Golf Club. The club house is 5 minutes away and the side of the property overlooks the 16th fairway from one side and the 17th green from the other. Renovated to a high standard, this luxury property provides plenty of space for up to nine guests. Outside, the property offers a large enclosed garden, great for your children to run and play in.

It is a perfect base for a great holiday with one of the best golf courses on your doorstep and many other attractions for all your family within a short drive. The traditional seaside resorts of Scarborough and Filey are just a few minutes’ drive away, complete with large sandy beaches where you can enjoy donkey rides or simply relax. The North Yorkshire Moors National Park is to the north and offers lovely woodland trails and nature reserves. The Dalby Forest is home to the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and a real attraction to all keen bikers. There are runs to suit everybody, from complete beginners to the challenging world cup tracks. The Dalby Forest is also home to Go Ape, an exciting tree top adventure course with swings and rope ladders. The Yorkshire Wolds, the inspiration to David Hockney for his paintings, is to the south with its rolling hills and stunning countryside.

Yorkshire is famous for its market towns and stately homes. The market towns of Malton and Pickering are just a short drive from The Whins, and there are some beautiful stately homes to visit such as Castle Howard, Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall. You couldn’t find a better base from which to visit North Yorkshire and be central for all attractions. Beach 10½ miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
