Bumblebee Cottage is a great little holiday cottage situated in the countryside yet three miles from the coast. A spacious and light property with an enclosed garden for the children or pet. The village of Boynton is just a mile away and Bridlington beach is under three miles from the cottage. Just along the road from the property there’s a garden centre with a café that serves excellent food and proves to be very popular amongst guests staying at the complex. Bridlington is a bustling seaside resort and has something for all age groups. The large sandy beach is great for the children as well as the rock pools for crabbing. The Yorkshire Belle leisure boat has taken tourists up and down the coast for many years and is well worth a trip.
To the north of Bridlington there’s the seaside resorts of Flamborough Head, Filey and Scarborough as well as the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs where you can see the puffins perched on the cliffs. The ’Old Town’ of Bridlington is just a mile away with a beautiful Georgian high street with lots of antique shops, local pubs and cosmopolitan cafés and restaurants. The ’Old Town’ was also where the Dad’s Army movie was filmed. From Bridlington seafront you can catch the land train up to Sewerby and visit Sewerby Hall with its award-winning gardens and a small zoo for the children. Bumblebee Cottage is a great base from which to visit the Yorkshire Wolds, the North York Moors and Yorkshire’s east coast. Beach 2¾ miles. Shop and restaurant 500 yards, pub 2 miles.
