Hunter Cottage is perfect for two couples to visit for a break together, as both bedrooms are en-suite; it is also ideal for a small family. The cottage has a large open plan kitchen/dining room, which leads to the enclosed garden at the rear. The terrace is a great sun trap and has seating so that you can enjoy a drink or dine al fresco. The two bedrooms both have Smart TVs and USB ports, as well as each having its own en-suite.
Situated on a quiet street, yet just a short stroll from the centre of Filey, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, pubs and cafés, as well as a large supermarket, plus independent shops. Filey holds lots of events throughout the year, from food festivals to folk festivals, so there’s something for everybody. The beach is just a 5-minute walk and is deemed one of the best beaches along the east coast. Over 4 miles of wide golden sandy beach awaits you, perfect for taking the dog for a long walk. The walks along the cliff top form part of the Cleveland Way walk, with rugged pathways and spectacular scenery. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive from the cottage and from the viewing points you can observe all the migrating seabirds perched on the cliff tops, especially the comical puffins.
The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are all close by and within an hour you can be in the medieval city of York, full of fascinating history and excellent museums and theatres. Beach 500 yards. Shop and restaurant 400 yards, pub 250 yards.
