Whitby is a year round seaside destination, with a host of themed events running throughout the year like the Regatta, Gothic Weekender and Folk Week. Whitby has wonderful sandy beaches, quaint shops, plenty of fine pubs and restaurants and is situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. There is a wealth of history in the area from the ’Jet’ industry to whaling. Why not walk up the 199 steps to the famous abbey ruins and visitors centre?

Situated on the Yorkshire Heritage Coast, the area is ideal for hikers and cyclists who can make the most of the nearby Cleveland Way and National Cycling Network.
