Lavender Cottage

Lavender Cottage can be found in the pretty village of Atwick on the stunning East Yorkshire coast. With two bedrooms, this holiday home offers a perfect base for couples or a small family wishing to enjoy this beautiful part of the East Riding. Walk through the cottage garden and enter into the cosy sitting room. A wood burner takes centre stage and the plush pink sofa and armchairs provide the perfect place for a cosy night in front of the Smart TV watching a movie or catching up on your favourite soap opera. The galley-style kitchen comes complete with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine and slow cooker. There is plenty of work top space for preparing a delicious picnic to enjoy at the beach or for cooking up a home made evening meal which can be enjoyed in the dining room. This rooms also offers a comfy sofa and additional TV should you wish to have a quiet few hours away from your holiday friends. Guests can choose between a restful soak in a bubble bath or a hot shower in the convenient ground-floor bathroom, before taking the cottage stairs to the first floor where you will find two pretty bedrooms; one with twin beds and the other a double. Lavender Cottage’s enclosed garden is a delight with two seating areas. One is under cover where you can enjoy an early morning coffee before heading out for the day or a second secluded area with picnic bench.
The village pub is close by and offers some real Yorkshire ales. The nearby town of Hornsea, with its beach, offers a host of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and convenience stores. The charming promenade, with its Victorian folly, is great for walking, and Hornsea Mere, the largest natural lake in Yorkshire, provides plenty of opportunity for sailing, fishing and boat trips. A little further up the coast are the bustling harbour town of Bridlington and the pretty coastal town of Filey. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the stunning Flamborough Heritage coastline, and birdwatchers must visit RSPB Bempton Cliffs and Spurn Point. The unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are on the doorstep and the stately homes of Sewerby Hall, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House and Gardens are waiting to be explored.
