The Bay - Aubergine Cottage

A spacious cottage on the very popular complex “The Bay” near Filey. With a downstairs bedroom and separate toilet this is perfect for those who bring grandparents along. Decorated and furnished to a very good standard this property is perfect for that great family holiday with all the amenities of “The Bay” on site which includes an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, pub and café. Passes are included for these facilities. The cottage has its own patio and seating area and then shares the rest of the grounds with the other properties on the site.

The site is just 3 miles from the centre of Filey which can be reached by car or by walking along the wonderful stretch of beach that goes for over 5 miles down this coast. The seaside town of Filey has been visited for generations by lots of families attracted by the beach and the traditional seaside resort. The cobble landing leads down to the Filey Brigg where you see many children rock pooling. On the clifftops is the end of the Cleveland Way walk, with many a weary walker sitting on the clifftops after completing the walk. The walks among the clifftops are stunning and some of the best available down the East Coast. To the south you have the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs and you’ll see all the migrating birds from puffins to guillemots and kittiwakes. The seaside resorts of Scarborough, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away.

The medieval city of York is less than an hour away and is voted every year as being one of the top ten cities to visit. Try not to miss it during your stay as you will not be disappointed. A wonderful old walled city with lots of independent shops, cafes and street entertainers as well as the majestic Minster standing proud overlooking the city. The cottage makes a great base to visit the Yorkshire coast, the Yorkshire Wolds and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Beach 500 yards. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant on site.
