There is also a games room leading off from the ground floor bedroom, with an x-box and a selection of games or for the more energetic a gym with a treadmill, bike, and cross trainer. Within the village you will find a microbrewery, village pub within a short walking distance and a quaint village pond. There is an array of villages close by offering a selection of convenience stores, butchers, post office and restaurants. The River Derwent is close by and offers lovely riverside walks. The beautiful, historic city of York is under 10 miles away and within easy driving distance. The University of York is 8. 7 miles away. Other attractions which can be visited by car include Castle Howard, the Yorkshire coast, Harrogate and the North York Moors.
