The historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is well placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District National Park and the Trough of Bowland giving guests the opportunity of visiting three counties in one trip. Kirkby Lonsdale also has many interesting, fine listed buildings, now either public houses or shops, one such listed building being Darcy House.
This beautiful double fronted Georgian property set within the town’s horse trading market has been awarded Grade II status and was built around 1640, predating its date stone showing 1797. The house has many original features including oak beams, some with original date markings on them, shutters to the windows and even some Victorian, hand painted wallpaper in the hallway.
