The Stables is ideally located to use as a base to explore the South Lakes. This ground floor accommodation offers a living kitchen, shower room, double bedroom and provides an ideal base for those wanting to get out and enjoy the local area. Climbing, walking, caving and kayaking are popular activities with previous guests. All are within 30 minutes by car.
The popular tourist town of Bowness-on-Windermere is only a 10-minute drive away and the Lyth Valley has many superb gastro pubs to try out. Other places close by include Fell Foot on the shores of Windermere only a 10-minute drive away. With ready access to the South-Eastern Fells, the Western Dales, South Lakes and the rivers Kent and Leven there is plenty of scope for adventure or for a less strenuous day why not visit Foulshaw Moss, the Hervey Memorial Nature Reserve, Levens Hall or Sizergh Castle? All are only a 5-minute drive away.
