Santon is set in the Western Lake District, between Gosforth and Eskdale, arguably one of the most unspoilt areas of the National Park with several small villages, towns and hamlets nearby, most with pubs, cafés, shops and excellent amenities. Santon Bridge, less than a 1 mile away, has a pub, gift shop and tearoom. Gosforth, 2 miles away, has a couple of good pubs serving food and local ales, an excellent convenience shop and deli, and a coffee shop/café. Nearby you’ll find several great days out and tourist attractions including Muncaster Castle, fun for all the family, or ride the La’al Ratty on The Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. And of course, there are great walks to be had around lakes, fells and a beach and sand dunes at nearby Drigg, 5 miles away.
