This cosy little cottage is situated on a working farm in the middle of Ulpha fell, so you are surrounded by nothing but sheep and stunning scenery. You enter the cottage into the kitchen/dining area with its beamed ceilings, there is ample space and facilities to prepare a family meal and the open plan aspect lends itself to everyone sitting around the table discussing the day’s events whilst waiting for a hot meal.
Moving on there is a cosy living room views out to the garden, next you have the bathroom with a bath to soak those feet after a good day’s walking and next to that is the bedroom with double bed. Upstairs is the main bedroom which hosts a king-size bed and a single bed that completes the accommodation.
The main appeal of this property is its access to some great walks and climbs on the Great Crag. Beyond the farm you are surrounded by the stunning landscape of the Lake District with rivers, rock formations and rolling hills so if you are looking for a tranquil setting away from the more tourist focused hotspots, this cottage is the ideal choice.
The immediate area around the cottage is a walkers and cyclist paradise with a selection of fells, pikes, and woods to explore then within 30 minutes’ drive you can be at Coniston water, the sight of the famous, Donald Campbell water speed world record. A short 10 minutes’ drive away is the market town of Broughton in Furness.
Broughton has excellent amenities with a selection of local shops & tourist information centre, petrol stations etc. In and around Broughton you will also find some of the excellent pubs, including several award winners, many offering good quality food alongside their real ales and roaring fires, you will be spoilt for choice as to where to dine out.
