Butterfly Cottage

You enter the property via a small porch, the ideal place to kick off your boots and coats and step into a welcoming open plan living/dining area. The chef of the family can still be part of the conversation as they prepare a lovely meal in the well-appointed kitchen and then it is an easy transition to the dining table before settling in for the night in front of the TV and log burner. Upstairs there is a good-sized master bedroom, a family bathroom and a second bedroom with bunk beds to delight the kids. Outside is a spacious, enclosed garden with patio area.
Bardsea is a small peaceful village set just off the coastal road, with a pub conveniently situated next door. A short 3-minute drive takes you to the lovely market town of Ulverston, aside from its cobbled streets and charming buildings, the city’s attractions include the Laurel & Hardy Museum, the Retro Roxy Cinema, and the Coronation Hall, which hosts plays, talks, and comedy shows. Ulverston is at the gateway to the lakes and offers easy access to places like Windermere & Bowness within a short drive, as well as hosting a wide variety of supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.
Within a 30-minute travel time, you could also reach Cartmel Racecourse, The Motor Museum, Escape rooms, Safari Zoo, Aquarium, Steam railway, Lake cruises, Go Ape high rope adventures, Michelin starred restaurant, L’Enclune, among other attractions. You will find hundreds of excellent walking and cycling routes through stunning scenery as well as water sports like sailing and longboarding. Beach 350 yards.
