Overlooking the Irish Sea in Blackpool’s quieter North Shore area is the wonderfully traditional Cherry Blossom Inn. A property with a lovely homely feel, it’s perfect for a family or group break away at the great British seaside. Benefitting from private off road parking, the building is jam-packed full of character, with many original features retained from its late 19th-century Victorian heritage. Each of the six bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities, and the vast majority also boast sea views! On the first floor there’s an elegant living room with its own mini-bar, large TV and amazing views over the Irish Sea, North Pier and the world famous Blackpool Illuminations, which stretch for over 6 miles and runs right past this property.
The location is on Blackpool’s main promenade away from the hustle and bustle but just 1 mile from Blackpool Tower and many attractions such as Coral Island, the SeaLife Centre and Madame Tussauds. A walk to North Pier will take around 10 minutes, or you can pick up the tram a couple of minutes’ walk away and ride in style to all that Blackpool has to offer. Blackpool plays host to many exciting events throughout the year such as the Air Show, Illuminations and Fireworks Championships. On a rainy day, you can visit Blackpool Tower, the Grand Theatre or Winter Gardens, which shows an array of amazing performances from Strictly Come Dancing to Fireman Sam.
A tram ride up the Fylde Coast will take you to Thornton-Cleveleys, where you’ll find a traditional promenade with pavement café’s and eateries. In the other direction, a short car journey will take you to wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham and St Annes, which have a combination of rolling sand dunes, championship golf courses, boutique shops and restaurants. They also play host to well-known events such as the Kite Festival and Lytham Proms. Moving inland, you’re within easy reach of the beautiful Trough of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with rich landscapes perfect for walking and cycling. The Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales can also both be reached in around an hour. Beach 50 yards.
