This superb cottage lies in Leasgill within the small hamlet of Heversham. Newly renovated and brand new for 2023, this charming cottage will delight everyone who stays there. West View is suitable for a small family holiday or a romantic getaway to the countryside.
Situated at the southern end of the Lake District National Park with easy access to popular towns and villages in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. There’s so many things to do and places to visit, you’ll be spoiled for choice. Before entering the cottage, you will find an off-road parking space for two cars. The entrance hall is warm and welcoming, and the living room is cosy and inviting, and the perfect spot to snuggle up in front of the wood burner to enjoy a film or your favourite boxset on the Smart TV.
Rustle up a home-cooked meal for the family in the well-equipped kitchen to enjoy around the table in the characterful dining area, whilst reflecting on the day’s adventures or planning the next. The bathroom, also on the ground floor, has been tastefully refurbished and is modern in style. In addition, there’s a washing machine under the stairs in the hallway for convenience.
On the first floor is a homely master double bedroom, featuring warm, comforting décor and storage. There is also a second bedroom with two small single beds which can be configured as another double or a twin if preferred. Enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco dining out on the raised patio/garden area to the rear of the property, perfect for soaking up the sunshine and taking in the views.
Conveniently located between Kendal and Carnforth, the medieval market town of Milnthorpe is only 5 minutes’ drive away. It has plenty of amenities for your convenience, such as four takeaways and three country pubs. Levens Hall and Gardens are equidistant in the other direction, being famous for the world’s oldest Topiary Gardens and a wonderful café, very popular with locals, serving delicious home cooked food. In short, this wonderful warm and inviting traditional Lakeland cottage is ideally placed should you enjoy walking, cycling, taking part in activities or simply wish to take advantage of the variety of food and drinks on offer in the many pubs, restaurants, and bars in the area.
