Downs View is over in Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight. It's a townhouse, so attached on one side. You get the whole place to yourselves though.
It sleeps seven. That's in four bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy for that many people. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The view is what you'll notice first. It looks straight out over the downs. St Boniface Down is right there, which is National Trust land. Good for a walk. The garden patio is a sun trap. The patio doors from the kitchen open right onto it. There's a woodburner in the lounge for colder evenings.
Ventnor's a Victorian seaside town. It's got a bit of an unusual climate because of the Undercliff, so things grow here that don't elsewhere. The Ventnor Botanic Garden is worth a look if you're into that. The beach and the esplanade are a short walk downhill. There are cafes, pubs, and the usual seaside things.
You can get to most places on the island from here within half an hour. The Needles and Alum Bay are about twenty-five minutes drive. Osborne House is similar. Cowes and Yarmouth for the sailing are about thirty minutes. Carisbrooke Castle is inland, maybe twenty minutes.
For facilities, you've got pretty much what you'd expect. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, no pets.
