Hill Croft Cottage
Hill Croft Cottage is a detached house in Niton, on the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It's up on the Undercliff so you get a clear view out over the Channel, which is nice. You can see ships going past.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a comfortable, family-sized house. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can bring up to two.
It's a short walk down to the Buddle Inn, maybe five minutes. It's a proper old pub on the cliff, does food and ale. The village shop is about half a mile back up the hill in Niton itself.
The coast path is right there. You can walk west to St Catherine's Lighthouse. To the east, you can get down to Castle Cove and Reeth Bay when the tide's out. It's a bit of a scramble over rocks, so you need decent shoes. Good for rock pools.
Ventnor is a ten minute drive. It's a classic seaside town built on a hill. They've got cafes on the seafront, a park, and some interesting little shops.
If you're driving out, Osborne House is about forty minutes. The Needles are roughly an hour. For a wet day, Carisbrooke Castle is good, or the Ventnor Botanic Garden is closer. You'll get ferry discount information after you book.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings, and a BBQ outside. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's parking on the drive.
