Greystone Cottage is in Whitwell. It's a detached stone cottage, built from local stone like a lot of them are here.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both ensuite. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kitted out and comfortable. The stairs are fine.
Inside, it's all been refurbished recently, so it feels fresh. There's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Plenty of space.
Outside, there's a decent lawn with two patio areas. One at the back, one at the front. You've got the whole garden to yourselves. Parking is on site.
Whitwell is a small village. The pub, the White Horse, is a few doors down. It's very old, dates back to the 1400s. They do food. There's a village shop too.
You're about a ten-minute drive from Ventnor and the coast there. The beach at Steephill Cove is nice. Godshill is close, maybe five minutes by car. Niton is about the same.
If you want to explore, the whole south coast of the island is within half an hour. Needles and Alum Bay to the west, Bembridge to the east. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline if you're walking. For general island info, Visit Isle of Wight is the official site.
Everything is included: bedding, towels, electricity, WiFi. No pets.
