Forrest Lodge is in Plumbland, Cumbria. It’s up near the top western edge of the Lake District, where it gets a bit quieter. It's a detached lodge.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms so no queues in the morning. One’s on-suite to the main bedroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s modern and clean.
The main room is all open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area. Lots of windows so you get the light and the view. French doors open onto a deck. You can see Skiddaw from there.
It’s on a site with a few other lodges. You get your own parking space right outside.
You’re in the North Western Lake District National Park. It’s good walking country straight from the door. Bassenthwaite Lake is about a ten minute drive for fishing. Cockermouth, which is a nice market town, is about fifteen minutes away.
For a big day out, Keswick is roughly half an hour’s drive. You’ve got Derwentwater there, and all the shops. The coast at Allonby is about twenty five minutes away if you fancy a change.
Facilities: there’s a dishwasher, washing machine, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
