Low Fold

This is Low Fold. It's a one bedroom cottage in Tallentire, Cumbria. That's about a ten minute drive from Cockermouth.

It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a five star rating, which means it's fitted out to a high standard. Everything should work properly and feel comfortable.

The living space is open plan. There's a wood burning stove for colder nights. The kitchen has a dishwasher. The bedroom has a king size bed. You can tell it's been thought about.

The garden is enclosed, with walls about three feet high and a gate. It's a private patio area.

The cottage is all on the ground floor. Parking is on site.

It's a quiet village. There's a local pub a short walk away. For a bigger shop, you'd drive into Cockermouth.

Cockermouth itself is worth a visit. Wordsworth's house is there. Mainly it's a nice market town with independent shops and places to eat.

You're well placed for the coast and the lakes. The Solway Coast is about fifteen minutes by car. The start of the Coast to Coast walk at St Bees is within half an hour.

The Lake District National Park is on your doorstep. Buttermere, Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake are all within a twenty minute drive for walking or just a look around. For a longer day, you can get into the central fells in under forty minutes.

You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi.

If you need space for four, this cottage can be booked together with the one next door, which is called The Nook.
