Reed Cottage is in Aspatria. It's a terrace house, end of a row. It sleeps four with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is comfortable and well looked after.
The stairs are in the living room. They are open and quite steep, more like a ship's ladder than a proper staircase. You need to be careful on them.
There's a woodburning stove in the living room. It works well and heats the room quickly. The kitchen has a range cooker and a washing machine. The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. You can take up to two. There's parking right outside.
Aspatria is a small town. There's a local pub within walking distance, and a shop for basics. For a bigger supermarket or more choice, you'd drive to Wigton or Maryport, both about ten minutes away.
The cottage is a good base for the Solway Coast. Allonby beach is a ten minute drive. It's a long, sandy beach, good for walks. The Lake District National Park starts about a 20 minute drive east. Keswick and the northern lakes are within half an hour.
The house comes with bedding and towels. There's WiFi and a TV. We can provide a highchair if you need one.
