This is Rubby Banks Retreat. It's a terraced cottage in Cockermouth, right by the River Cocker. The town centre is a five minute walk.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other has bunk beds. One bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden at the back is small and enclosed. You get a view of the river from the upstairs front window. The road outside can get a bit busy during the day.
You're in a good spot here. Cockermouth itself is nice for a wander, with some decent pubs and shops. Wordsworth House is just down the road if you're interested. For the lakes, Bassenthwaite is about ten minutes by car. Buttermere and Keswick are maybe twenty minutes. You're on the edge of the National Park proper, so getting to the bigger fells takes a bit longer, but it's all within a half hour drive.
For facilities, it's got the things you'd expect: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive.
No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're planning walks or days out, these are useful: Lake District National Park and National Trust Wordsworth House.
