Crosslands

This is Crosslands in Sockbridge. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. You get the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed, the other has two singles. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The living room is a good size. There's a modern electric fire for cooler evenings. Outside is a large garden, completely enclosed, which is handy if you've brought dogs. You can bring two.

Parking is on site. There's a garage you can use to store things like bikes, paddleboards or walking gear. It has a washer and dryer in it too.

Sockbridge is quiet. Pooley Bridge is just down the road, about a mile, for pubs and shops. Ullswater is right there. Good for a walk along the shore or getting out on the water.

You're well placed for getting around. Penrith is about ten minutes by car. The Rheged Centre is just off the motorway junction there if the weather turns. Dalemain House and Hutton in the Forest are both close by if you fancy a historic house or gardens. For a proper waterfall walk, Aira Force is about a fifteen minute drive.

The northern Lakes are within easy reach. Keswick is roughly half an hour. So is the Thirlmere and Helvellyn area for walking.

Facilities wise, it has what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed.
