This is Blue Cherry Cottage. It's in Penrith, on a normal residential street. The house was built in the 1930s. We had it refurbished early this year with new heating put in.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs: one with a double bed, one with two singles, and one with a single bed. One bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well equipped.
Downstairs, there's a living room with a gas fire and a TV. The kitchen is at the back, with a table for eating. It looks out onto the back garden, which faces south so it gets the sun. The garden is yours to use.
You're about a ten minute walk from the centre of Penrith. There are supermarkets, shops, pubs, and a leisure centre there. The train and bus stations are handy if you're arriving without a car.
The main thing is you're right on the edge of the Lake District. You can be in the national park in about five minutes by car. It's a good spot if you want to climb some of the Wainwright fells, or just go for a walk without driving for hours first.
You can bring one dog. There's parking on the drive. Things like bedding, towels, and wifi are all included. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.
