Delmonte
Delmonte is a bungalow on the edge of Langwathby in the Eden Valley. It's detached and all on one level, which is handy. The rooms are big and feel airy. Because it's on a bit of a slope, you get a good view out over the village and towards the Lake District fells.
It sleeps seven, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring one dog.
The local pub is about a quarter of a mile away. It does good food. The train station is the same distance, on the Carlisle to Settle line. It's a great way to see the scenery without driving.
You're in the middle of three good areas. The Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and the North Pennines are all nearby. Penrith is about seven miles for bigger shops. Ullswater is under fifteen miles. Hadrian's Wall is about twenty miles away if you fancy some history.
For walking, you've got plenty of options straight from the door or a short drive away. The river Eden is good for fishing.
