Toms Cottage is in Melmerby. It's a solid, stone-built, end-terrace place on the village street. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower.
You get the garden, which is enclosed. There's also a games room in the outbuilding round the back – it's got a dartboard and a pool table.
The front door has a small step. The rest of the ground floor is on one level, which is handy.
We have a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher, all the basics. Bedding and towels are included, and we've got a cot if you need it.
The village shop and the pub are both about a hundred yards away. The bakery here is great. The pub does good food.
It's very quiet here in the Eden Valley. Good walking straight from the door. For bigger walks, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales are both about a 20 minute drive. Ullswater is roughly 20 minutes away. Hadrian's Wall is about half an hour.
We allow one well-behaved dog.
