Outhwaite Cottage is in Renwick, in the Eden Valley. It's a detached cottage, but it's on our farm, right next to our house. It's not remote. You'll see us around.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a woodburning stove in the living room for colder nights.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We allow two. There's parking right outside the door.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair.
Outside, you can walk straight out onto footpaths. The Coast to Coast cycle route goes past here. The northern Lakes are about a twenty minute drive. Keswick and Ullswater are that way. Head east and you're into the North Pennines, up towards Alston.
For local information, the Lake District National Park site is useful. The North Pennines AONB site covers this area too. Renwick has a pub that does food, about a ten minute walk. The nearest shop for a proper grocery shop is in Penrith, which is a fifteen minute drive.
