Staffield Cottage
Staffield Cottage is up near Staffield, which is between Carlisle and Penrith. It's part of the old farmstead there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One's a kingsize, the other one has two singles that can be pushed together if you prefer. One bathroom, with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after.
The cottage is all on the ground floor and the entrance is level, which is helpful. There's a wood burning stove for the evenings. The garden is enclosed and private. You get off-road parking right by the door.
The hamlet is quiet. The nearest proper shop and places to eat are in the villages nearby, like Kirkoswald or Lazonby. They're a few minutes in the car.
You're in a good spot for getting about. The M6 is about ten minutes away. Penrith is fifteen minutes one way, Carlisle about twenty the other. Ullswater at Pooley Bridge is maybe twenty-five minutes.
If you're here for the history, you're well placed for Hadrian's Wall. For walking, you've got the Northern Pennines area and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales not far. The Lake District National Park authority site is useful for planning.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
