Woodstore Cottage is in the grounds of Lazonby Hall, in the yard. It's a one bedroom place for two. There are two bathrooms, one's an ensuite off the bedroom. That's handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It was converted properly from an old building. There are beams and a stone floor. It's warm and solid. There's a woodburning stove which keeps the main room cosy.
There's a clavichord in the cottage. It's a small, old keyboard instrument. If you know how to play it, you're welcome to use it.
The garden is a patio area. It's part of the courtyard. The Hall grounds have woodland you can walk in. Lazonby village is about a mile away. There are a couple of pubs and a shop there. The M6 is ten minutes by car, which makes getting here straightforward.
Facilities are good. Washing machine, dishwasher, parking right outside the door. All utilities are included.
You're in the Eden Valley. Penrith is a short drive. National Trust Lake District properties like Acorn Bank or Ullswater are within half an hour. The Northern Lakes are quieter. Keswick and the fells are about a 40 minute drive.
