Berrymoor Farm Cottage is up near Kirkoswald, between Carlisle and Penrith. It's ours, but it's attached to one side of our house. We're up the hill, so the views are good. You're just looking out over fields.
It's a ground floor cottage. One bedroom, one bathroom. Sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. There's a small garden and a patio that's just for you.
The village is about three quarters of a mile down the lane. Kirkoswald is nice and quiet, just a shop and a couple of pubs. The church bell tower is separate from the church, which is a bit unusual.
You can walk from the door. There's a network of paths. The river Eden is close by for fishing. The C2C cycle route goes past nearby.
Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are about a 20 minute drive. Keswick and Derwentwater are maybe half an hour. The Northern Pennines are right there, and you can get to Hadrian's Wall in under half an hour if the traffic's okay.
The cottage has a wood burner, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
