Glendowlin Lodge Retreat
Glendowlin Lodge Retreat is on a quiet road in Glen Dowlin. It's between Penrith and Pooley Bridge, inland from Ullswater. It's a detached wooden lodge.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well looked after.
The main room is open plan - kitchen, dining and living area together. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The windows are big, so you get a good view out over the fields towards the Pennines. It's a sunny spot.
The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. There's outdoor seating and plenty of space.
Pooley Bridge village is a few minutes drive away. You've got the lake there. You can get boat trips on Ullswater from there, or just walk by the water. The Aira Force waterfall is a popular walk, about ten minutes drive from here.
Penrith is about fifteen minutes the other way. You'll find supermarkets and shops there. The M6 motorway is close by at Penrith too, so it's easy to get to the rest of the Lakes or up into Scotland. Keswick is a nice drive over the A66, maybe twenty-five minutes.
For facilities: there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and TV. Parking is right outside the lodge. You can bring up to two dogs.
