The Lodge

The Lodge is on Lelant Downs, between Hayle and St Ives. It's set back from the road behind some shrubs and trees. You get the whole garden to yourselves. There's parking for two cars.

It sleeps five, but it's really set up for two adults and up to three children. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not a luxury finish. The bathroom has a shower, not a bath.

You can bring two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy for that.

For getting around, you're right by the A30, which is useful. To get into St Ives, I'd use the park and ride train. The station is just across the road. It saves the hassle of parking.

You're close to the Hayle Estuary Reserve for walks. The South West Coast Path is easy to get to as well. St Ives has several beaches, but they get busy.

For a day out with kids, Paradise Park in Hayle is about a ten minute drive. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek is maybe 25 minutes away by car. You can drive to Helston in about 20 minutes.

The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. All the bedding and towels are included.
