Bruce's Cottage
Bruce's Cottage is in Whitecross. It's a semi-detached cottage in a small hamlet, so it's quiet. The garden is enclosed and private.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's an old cottage, so the stairs are a bit steep. The kitchen has a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility bit.
You're about four miles from the coast. St Michael's Mount and Marazion are a short drive away. Penzance, Mousehole, and St Ives are all within about a 20-minute drive. The coastal train from St Erth into St Ives is handy, it saves on parking.
The area is good for walking. You can walk up to Trencrom Hill from the cottage. The views from the top are very good, you can see both coasts. For beaches, you've got the choice of the north or south coast depending on the surf or the weather. The Hayle Estuary is nearby for birdwatching.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile and three quarters away. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Penzance.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. Wifi works. There's parking for two cars on the drive. No pets, I'm afraid.
