The Nest
The Nest is on Lelant Downs. It's attached to our house, but it's separate and private. We're on a quiet lane, not overlooked.
It's a one-bedroom place for two people. There's a shower room off the bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's not huge, but it's got everything you'd need. Everything works, everything's clean.
You can bring one dog. There's a small yard area out front that's yours to use. We do ask that dogs are kept on a lead if they're out in the garden, as ours are about.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. There's a shop and a restaurant about a mile away towards St Ives.
You're a five minute drive from St Erth station. The train from there goes right along the coast into St Ives. It's a nice way to go, especially in summer when the car parks are full. The St Ives park and ride is a mile from here if you'd rather drive.
St Ives is about three miles away. You've got the Tate, the Hepworth, all the shops and cafes. The beaches are good. You can walk from Carbis Bay into town along the coast path if you want.
The Hayle Estuary and the beaches at Gwithian are a short drive. Good for long walks with the dog. The National Trust has a lot of coast and gardens nearby. Godrevy is worth a visit.
For a day out, Penzance is about twenty minutes. You can get the ferry to the Scilly Isles from there. Land's End is about forty minutes. The north coast, like Portreath and Newquay, is within half an hour.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen area, a sofa, and a TV. Washing machine, Wi-Fi, all included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard if you need them. Parking is right outside.
