This is Portgwidden. It's one of a group of apartments in St Ives, all recently done up. It's for two people.
The apartment has one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, meaning it's comfortable and smart, but it's not huge. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over Carbis Bay towards Godrevy lighthouse. You can see the sand and the sea from the window.
You're about a five minute walk from the middle of St Ives. Porthminster Beach is about 300 yards away. It's a sandy, sheltered beach. The other side of town has Porthmeor Beach, which is more exposed to the surf.
The town is all those little winding lanes with shops and cafes. The Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum are there if you like galleries. You don't really need the car for the town itself.
Facilities: there's a parking space, which is useful in St Ives. You've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
If you want to explore, the coast path is right there. For a different beach, Gwithian is about a 20 minute drive up the coast. The National Trust Cornwall site is good for ideas. For the area, Visit Cornwall has the main information.
