Trevithick Lodge is on the Tolroy Manor park, just outside Hayle in Cornwall. It's a three-bedroom lodge that sleeps six. You get two bathrooms, which is handy with that many people.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not luxurious. The layout is open plan.
The lodge is set in woodland. There are shared gardens and a few benches around the park. You have your own patio and garden area.
On the park itself, there's a shared indoor heated pool and a sauna. You need a pass from reception for those. There's also a tennis court, a kids' play area, and a clubhouse with some entertainment and a restaurant. There's a Co-op on site too, which is useful.
Hayle town is about a mile down the lane. It's a proper coastal town. It's got two supermarkets, some pubs and places to eat. The beaches there are very good. The Hayle estuary is a big area for birds.
You're well placed for getting around. St Ives is a short drive away. The train from St Erth into St Ives is worth doing for the views. It runs right along the coast. The Tate St Ives is there if you like art.
For walks, the South West Coast Path is right there. You can access it from Hayle. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby, like Godrevy.
The golf clubs mentioned, West Cornwall and Hayle, are both local.
Facilities at the lodge: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a TV, and parking right outside. It's set up for families with young children. No pets allowed.
