The Stable is one of three cottages here at Gwedna Barns, up near Godolphin Cross. It's part of a converted stone barn on what used to be a farm. It's quiet and feels a bit tucked away, with fields all around.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main room is all open-plan, with a high beamed ceiling. It feels quite spacious. There's a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. French doors lead out to your own bit of garden, which is enclosed. You get about two acres of shared gardens too, and a kids' play area.
It's a rural spot. The nearest shop and Post Office is about a mile and a half away. The local pub is three miles. For beaches, Gwithian Towans has a big stretch of sand and is about a 15-minute drive. Prussia Cove, which is rocky and good for exploring, is about five miles south. You can be in St Ives, Penzance, or down at The Lizard in roughly 20 minutes by car.
The main A30 is close by, so getting around west Cornwall is straightforward. Helston is nearby for bigger shops. You're right in the Cornish Mining World Heritage area. Godolphin is just down the road if you're interested in the local history.
Facilities here: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
