Old Dairy
This is the Old Dairy, near Godolphin Cross in Cornwall. It's a converted barn on a small farm. You've got your own entrance and a bit of garden. It's quiet here, just fields and the farm.
It's for four people. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done to a high standard. It's all on one floor, so no stairs to worry about.
The farm has pigs and ducks. You're welcome to have a look. The owners are about if you want to help collect eggs, but there's no pressure.
The place borders the National Trust Godolphin estate. You can walk straight onto it. The house there was used in the Poldark TV series.
Helston is about five minutes away for shops. Porthleven harbour is a ten minute drive. It's got good pubs and you can watch the surfers. It's not a beginner's beach though.
For a day out, St Michael's Mount is about twenty minutes. Penzance is fifteen. The Lizard peninsula is within half an hour if you want to see the most southerly point. The Cornwall National Landscape site has good walking routes.
The facilities are all here. Washing machine, dishwasher, wood burner, fast WiFi, and parking right outside. There's even an electric vehicle charger. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity. No pets, sorry.
