Seascape

Seascape is a modern cottage on the edge of Porthleven. It's one of a row, but you can't see any others from the back. You get a private garden and parking for two cars on the drive.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are fine, normal indoor stairs. It’s built on the cliff side near the coastal path, so you see a lot of walkers going past.

The living room and kitchen are upstairs. That’s because of the view. You can see right over Mounts Bay from there. On a clear day you can watch the ships. There’s a table by the window. If the weather’s bad, there’s a games room downstairs with a TV and some board games.

You can walk into Porthleven village in about ten minutes. It’s a working harbour with a few places to eat and drink. The pub does food. You can get coffee, have a look in the small galleries, or just watch the boats. Kids like crabbing off the harbour wall. People go paddleboarding and kayaking from there too.

The beach is sandy at low tide, rocky at high tide. It’s good for a swim if you pick your moment. The South West Coast Path is right outside the gate. You can walk along to Loe Bar, which is a good circular route if you’ve got a few hours.

If you drive, Praa Sands is about ten minutes away. That’s a long, sandy beach with a cafe. Good for families. Penzance is about twenty minutes. You can go from there to Marazion for St Michael’s Mount. The Lizard, which is the most southerly point, is about half an hour’s drive. The Minack Theatre is there if you want to see a play outdoors.

For facilities: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We’ve got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
