Seascape

Seascape is in Porthleven. It's a modern cottage, reverse level, so the living room and kitchen are upstairs. That's to get the sea view. From the first floor you can see right across Mounts Bay.

It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. The garden is private and there's parking for two cars on the drive.

Being reverse level, the stairs are fairly steep. Something to be aware of if you've got very small children or anyone less steady on their feet. There's a stairgate provided.

You're on the coastal path here. Walkers go past the garden wall. It's a two minute walk down into the village. The harbour's there with its pubs, cafes, and a few shops. You can get to the beach from there.

The local pub is walkable. For a bigger beach, Praa Sands is about ten minutes by car. It's a long, sandy beach, good for families.

If you drive for half an hour, you can get to places like Penzance and Marazion. The Lizard peninsula is about that way too. The Minack Theatre is over that direction, but it's a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. For National Trust places, the National Trust Cornwall page lists them all.

Inside, there's a games room with a TV and some board games. It's useful if the weather turns. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
