Chywood Barn
Chywood Barn is near Sithney, which is in Cornwall somewhere between Helston and Porthleven. It's about three miles from each. The barn itself is detached and was a stable originally. It's on a private road.
It's for two people only. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is open plan downstairs, with a wood burner. The stairs go up to a galleried bedroom. The ceiling is quite high with beams.
You get your own enclosed garden. The property sits in two acres of shared garden with a lake. There are ducks. The owners live nearby in the farmhouse.
It's quiet. You're at the end of the lane. There are footpaths straight from the property. For shops, a pub, or restaurants, you need to drive to Helston or Porthleven, which takes about ten minutes.
From here, you can drive to the Lizard peninsula or to the beaches around Mount's Bay, like Praa Sands, in under half an hour. Porthleven has the harbour and some good places to eat. The Cornish coast path is obviously nearby for long walks.
Everything you'd expect is here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
