The Long Barn is one of three cottages here at Gwedna. They're all separate, so you get your own space. It's on what used to be a farm, but it's quiet now. You're right in the middle of the Cornish Mining World Heritage area.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The living room is up a few steps from the kitchen, so it's split-level. The ceiling is high with beams. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's comfortable.
Outside, there's a garden area with furniture, and you can use the bigger shared lawns. They stretch out over a couple of acres. There's a play area for kids too, which is handy.
You're near Godolphin Cross. The local pub is about three miles away. There's a shop a bit closer. For a proper day out, Godolphin House is just down the road. It's a National Trust place and really shows the area's history.
The coast is easy to get to. Gwithian beach, which is great for surfing, is about fifteen minutes by car. Prussia Cove, which has interesting smuggling history, is a similar drive south. Penzance, St Ives, and The Lizard are all within twenty minutes or so. Helston town is close by for bigger shops.
For facilities: it's got parking, a wood burner, wifi, and a TV. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
