Sunny Corner Cottage is in Hayle. It's a small, mid-terrace cottage. The name comes from the decked area at the back of the house. It gets the sun most of the day and is fully enclosed. You've got your own outdoor table out there.
Inside, it sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms upstairs: two doubles and one twin. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The decoration is simple and clean. The living room has an open fire. We leave wood for the first night. The kitchen has what you'd expect: an oven, dishwasher, that sort of thing.
You can bring up to two dogs. The decking area is enclosed, but it's not a big garden for them to run in. Hayle Beach and the estuary path are just over the main road, about a five-minute walk. That's where most people walk their dogs. You'll see lots of birds on the estuary.
For the beach, you've got a choice. The three miles of sand at Hayle Towans are about a mile and a half from the cottage. You can drive or walk. St Ives and Carbis Bay are a short drive or you can get the train from Hayle. The St Ives branch line runs right along the coast. The surf beaches like Gwithian and Godrevy are about ten minutes by car, depending on the swell.
In terms of things to do locally, you're well placed. The coast path is right there. St Ives is about ten minutes by car or train. Penzance is about twenty minutes. For a day out, the National Trust Penrose estate is nearby at Loe Pool. The Cornwall National Landscapes site has good walking information. If you don't mind a drive, St Michael's Mount, Land's End, and the Minack Theatre are all within about forty minutes.
The facilities are all as listed. WiFi, TV, bedding and towels included. There's a cot and a highchair in the cupboard under the stairs. Parking is on the street outside the cottage. It's usually fine, but it can get busy in peak summer.
