Cornish Billys Barn
Cornish Billys Barn is in Cockwells, which is a couple of miles outside of Penzance. It's a barn conversion we did a few years ago. It's for two people.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. Everything's fairly new. The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, a sofa area, and the wood burning stove. The stove works well, you get a basket of logs to start you off. The kitchen is proper, you can actually cook in it. There's a dishwasher.
The bedroom is upstairs. It's a good size with an en-suite shower. The shower is one of those big rainfall ones.
Outside, there's a private courtyard round the back with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, so it's fine for dogs. We take up to two well-behaved pets.
You can walk down the hill to the local pub in about fifteen minutes. It's a proper locals' place. For more choice, Marazion is a short drive away. You can see St Michael's Mount from the patio doors on a clear day.
The coast path is easily accessible if you want to walk. For a day out, you've got Penzance itself, or St Ives about twenty minutes up the coast. The National Trust Cornwall page is useful for finding gardens and houses to visit. The Cornwall National Landscape site has walking information.
Included in the price: all bedding and towels, the electricity, WiFi, and a washing machine. There's parking right next to the barn. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
