33 Chapel Street is in Penzance, near the harbour. It's an old townhouse, one of a terrace. It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept.
The house is on Chapel Street, which is the oldest street here. It slopes down to the sea. You can see a bit of the harbour from the upstairs windows. The front is original Cornish granite. Inside, there's underfloor heating and an open fire for cooler nights.
The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep. The garden at the back is enclosed. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're right in the middle of things. The seafront is a two minute walk. The art deco Jubilee Pool is just down the road. There's a shop about 250 yards away, and several pubs and restaurants on the street itself. The Turk's Head is a few doors up. It's very old and feels like it.
Penzance train station is about a five minute walk if you're coming by rail.
For a day out, St Michael's Mount is in the bay. You can walk across at low tide or get a boat. The promenade goes all the way to Newlyn, which is the fishing port, and then on to Mousehole. That's a nice walk if you've got the time.
If you want to drive, the Minack Theatre is about twenty minutes away. Lands End is about half an hour. You can get boats to the Isles of Scilly from the harbour here in season.
Facilities: we've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
