The Old Stores is in Mousehole, at the bottom of the village. It's a one bedroom cottage for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable but not enormous.
It's on a lane just behind the harbour, about a minute's walk from the water. The front door opens onto a small, walled courtyard. It gets the sun in the morning. There are five steps down to it from the lane.
Inside, the living room is downstairs with a wood burner and a sofa. The kitchen is compact but has a dishwasher. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, which is normal for here.
The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs in the loft space. It has high ceilings with beams. There's a freestanding roll-top bath in the bedroom itself, next to the bed. The shower is over the bath.
There's an award-winning restaurant right next door. They can deliver meals to the cottage if you book it. Because it's next door, you might hear some noise from their garden on busy evenings, but it's usually quiet by 11.
The village shop is a two-minute walk. The good pub, the Ship Inn, is about five minutes down the hill towards the harbour. The small beach is a short stroll.
For days out, Penzance is ten minutes by car or bus. The bus stop is at the top of the village. St Michael's Mount is about a fifteen minute drive. The National Trust's Trengwainton Garden is nearby. Lands End is roughly half an hour.
In terms of what's here: there's WiFi, a smart TV, the wood burner, the enclosed courtyard, and parking for one small car on the lane outside. One well-behaved dog is allowed. All bedding and towels are included.
