Salty Cottage

Salty Cottage is in Newlyn, right by the harbour. It's an old granite fisherman's cottage.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The layout is open plan downstairs, which makes it feel bigger than it is. It's small though, so it's cosy. The original fireplace is still there.

There's no garden or outside space of your own. But you're about thirty seconds from the harbour wall where you can sit and watch the boats. The first pub is a minute's walk. A bus stop for Penzance or Mousehole is two minutes away.

Newlyn village is a short walk along the harbour. The fishing fleet lands its catch there daily. You've got a bakery, a supermarket, a few cafes, fish and chip shops, and some restaurants all within the village. The Newlyn Art Gallery has a good cafe with sea views.

Mousehole is a ten-minute drive. Penzance is about five minutes. It has a long promenade and a heated outdoor lido pool. Marazion and St Michael's Mount are a fifteen-minute drive.

For a day out, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is about twenty minutes by car. The beaches at Porthcurno and Sennen are within half an hour. St Ives is about half an hour's drive, but the train from Penzance is easier for that. There are several National Trust properties and gardens within a thirty-minute drive.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate. No pets, sorry.
