Portland Cottage is in Mousehole. It's a semi-detached house right in the middle of the village. You're a minute's walk from the harbour wall and the little beach.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and everything works, but it's not minimalist or modern. It feels like an old family house. You get the whole garden to yourselves.
The big thing is the parking. You can park right outside. That's rare for Mousehole, where parking is usually a nightmare.
The village has a couple of shops, a few cafes, and a bistro. The pub on the quay does food. It's a proper old fishing village, so it's small and can get busy in summer. It's nice in winter too, especially when the Christmas lights are on. The owner's dad actually started those lights.
Newlyn is the next village along. It's a working harbour. Penzance is about ten minutes by car. That's where the big supermarkets and the train station are. You can get the train along the coast to St Ives from there.
St Michael's Mount is a short drive away, near Marazion. You can walk out to it at low tide. It's run by the National Trust.
For facilities, it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a stairgate if you need it.
