Chy-Vean

Chy-Vean is an old cottage in Madron. It's detached, so no shared walls. It was built in the 1800s and has the original beams. It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.

There's a small garden at the back. It's south facing and gets the sun. The garden is private and enclosed. You can sit outside.

You get a good view of Mount's Bay and St Michael's Mount from the main bedroom. It's a proper view, you can see it from the window.

The cottage is in the village. Madron itself is quiet. There's a pub within walking distance. It's a straightforward local, good for a pint. For a shop or a bakery, you go to Heamoor. That's the next village over, just down the road. It's got what you need.

Penzance is two miles away. That's where you'll find the supermarkets and most of the restaurants and pubs. It's an easy drive or a decent walk if you like walking.

For getting out, you're well placed. The coastal path is accessible from here for walks. There are beaches like Sennen Cove and Porthcurno within a half hour drive. The Minack Theatre is at Porthcurno. The National Trust gardens at Trengwainton are about a ten-minute walk from the cottage. They're nice for a stroll.

You can get a day trip to the Isles of Scilly from Penzance, by boat or by plane.

Inside, it has a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. A stairgate is fitted on the stairs. The stairs themselves are cottage stairs. They're fine, but watch your head on the beam at the top. Pets are welcome.

If you're planning trips, these sites are useful: National Trust Cornwall and Cornwall Council Countryside for coastal path information.
